IMAGEVUE
After modifying some of the elements, I really like this photo presentation design. It's mostly in PHP and running off my local server if you want to take a look it's HERE
And while on the subject of photos... I am reminded of a blogger months ago who lost a huge body of work due to failure to backup. If you use, and are reliant upon, one of the free photo-hosting sites to store your photos keep reading.
Whatever photo-service you use, Photobucket, Flickr... any of them, they are all the same in one respect: they make no guarantee that your photos are safe and stored forever. If their servers crash your photos are lost. Tough luck.
Photobucket recently upgraded their services. They seem much faster now. And using their service it is very easy to create an html page with thumbnails and links to all or your photos stored on their servers. Ok! That's all good and fine, but your photos are still not backed up. Here's what to do with the generated html-thumbnail-link page.
First go grab a program called Neodownloader HERE. Run the program to navigate to the html-output page that your service generated. All of your photos will then be downloaded and stored on your local machine. From there you can store them to disc to save space.
What does the page look like? Well, mine looks like THIS.
