U R G E N T
OPEN LETTER TO ADAM OSTROW
IN DEFENSE OF thatonebmxguy
Adam,
There is a recent event here which has the potential to become either very sticky, or an opportnity for Mindsay to illustrate the parameters of the phrase "otherwise objectionable" in the TOS. thatonebmxguy is a blog I have been following for some time. The guy is an excellent photographer who posts a variety of his creations. Apparently he has/had another blog here called bonedeath. I was unaware of it. In the past couple days he posted photos of dead animals he happened upon in his travels. That blog has now been deleted. It is assumed that Mindsay deleted it due to "otherwise objectionable" content. If that is indeed the case, I believe you have done a great disservice here.
In my daily browsing, I constantly happen upon something I find objectionable. Yesterday it was photos posted by a teenage girl of her two male friends with their genitals hanging out of their pants. There is another site dedicated to a teenage girl graphically describing her daily sex activities, with her taunting people to ask for more. I have spearheaded the removal of "watchmemasturbatelive" and the Crystal Meth recipe blog. Some blogs push the limits on a daily basis, others occasionally. This, I believe is, or should be the deciding factor in making decisions as to whether to delete an entire blog. (Again, if that is indeed what was done here.)
If it is the case that someone complained and you deleted the bonedeath blog, the practice begs for attention and alteration. At the very least, should not the blogger be given the opportunity to remove whatever a complainer has deemed objectionable?
I have to repeat, I did not see the dead animal photos, but cannot imagine that blood and carcasses are on par with blatant pornography and illegal drug recipes.
I am hoping that you will respond at length to this important matter and perhaps consider contacting bonedeath/thatonebmxguy with an explanation.
Sincerely, Pablo

I urge all readers of this letter to voice their opinions on the inherent injustices of the "otherwise objectionable" phrase in Mindsay's TOS.
And I have to wonder, who are you bloggers out there who ignore the sort of blogs I mention above, but take offense to dead animals? Yes, it's true. In the USA we spend more on pets than on education! What BS!
How is it that ridemebareback has been around for so long, but has no blog entries? Instead you see only displays of oversized photos of grotesque women constant activity visiting young boys blogs to advertise her/his presense? And how many of you have received the spam comments always marked "not spam" from ridemebareback?

ATTRIBUTION AND BIBLIOGRAPHY THOUGHTS
Attribution and bibliography have all but disappeared in this world of ether and blogging. For myself, I think I'll bring it back. It's the ethical thing to do. I see most blog posts are copy and paste, but presented as original when appearing without attribution or bibliography. The PMS list we see today is not original and the source is not mentioned, only leading a person to believe the blogger wrote it. It's not fair, ethical or helpful in the sense that it only takes a few seconds to add a link to your source, which will then possibly provide readers with a window they would have otherwise missed.
>Here's an attribution for you:
The reasons bloggers don't cite their sources are laziness or subconscious
plagiarism. If one of the intents of blogging is to anonymously express
individuality, what it the point of posting the same thing over and over.
List after list after list is regurgitated endlessly here. HERE is a good
article briefly examining the hazards/benefits of originality. Is originality
undetected plagiarism?
"BLOGNAPPING", that's the clever phrase now adopted by bloggers who are too lazy to do anything other than clog up servers by posting the same uninteresting thing over and over. Think about this blognappers: If a post is interesting and insightful, it will attract attention on its own merits. Bombarding a blog service by replicating posts is nothing but annoying and indicative of your lack of originality. This latest "subconscious mind driven by love" post, will I am sure spread like cancer among all the fellow blognappers in support of their inane copy and paste mentality. What a waste of time, space attention and potential.
